You have already one of the basic characteristics of a successful company if you think you are creative. However, you can do more than just build a business plan and solve distinctive issues with your creativity. You can create a business that focuses fully on creativity. Here are the top 5 creative package design business ideas.

1. Wrap Designer

It may sound like a clip off the full sticker but it will carry with me. Wraps are stickers technically, but they take serious skill in design. It works in three dimensions and attempts to guarantee that your pattern is nice and cohesive from any angle. It may be hard to find someone to make a good wrap design. However, if you have a variety of skills in your quiver, use it for your benefit.

How does this happen? Well, your designs are now being purchased web, for one. They may be used as templates for other projects if you produce a series of stencils for certain vehicles. Heck, here in Creative Market you could even sell them.

2. Comic Book Letterer

Ever ask how the words are positioned on your chosen comic book pages? Well, it was used to be a dude sitting at the drawing table, all of which was handwritten in their balloons. Traditionally in very linear order, the comic book industry has achieved stuff, with the letterer being the last individual in the chain to operate. When they begin, the paper is penciled, inked, and generally stained and everything you have to do is attach the word balloons and write writing to the letterer.

You will then be provided with a pdf for the Illustrator, complete it with fancy fonts and send it back for ultimate proof (as the Comicraft serves right here on the Creative Market). But there’s so much comic book hope to get there that your comics are needed by letters and a quick search or two on Facebook will find them for you. You won’t fit into Marvel or DC right from your bat. Who understands, it could also be a pleasant thing down the road!

3. T-Shirt Sales

Ever wanted to sell custom T-shirts but didn’t know where to start? As it turns out, it’s not that difficult to do. Let me give you a bit of background. There are two basic processes that people use to make a T-shirt: screenprinting and direct-to-garment printing. You’ve probably owned mostly screen printed shirts for most of your life because people have been making them that way for decades. But now some printers can print ink onto T-shirts, which has sparked the rise of direct-to-garment (or DTG) printing.

People with DTG machines can print a single shirt at a time, which means that you don’t have to keep an inventory of your products — one of the biggest hassles with running your own business. And, many of those companies even do fulfillment, meaning you don’t have to even ship the shirts yourself.

All right, this isn’t that easy. It’s all marketing, plus you’ve got to show your clients what the outfits look like, but you likely made mock-ups before if you’re already creating, right? I took this package from Photofic when I created this idea about a year ago and used it as the basis for every single design. Then I set up a store on Shopify to deal with the complex coding items that I can’t do and to make my shirts with Print.

And because this idea relates to sequins, brochures, and even pillows, you can extend it to any exciting idea that you want. Seriously, the printing and satisfaction industry only develops and works for you.

4. Make an Etsy Shop

We didn’t know where we would hawk our goods other than our website when we started our sticker biz. I knew Etsy, but I didn’t know if the outlet was or was not so, so for six months I placed a store there. It’s been stupid. Etsy’s become a huge part of our business–so I’m not sure we’d be there without it yet. We sell stickers, but it provides you an excellent platform for exposures, and you can sell several homemade products there. It’s not perfect, but we like the edge because you could.

5. Coloring Book Designer

Having your own coloring book ever thought? You may only be your bag if you have any artistic tendencies at all. Many of them are out and many give methods of selling digital downloads. Whether you’re writing a story about the bull on Wall Street or a coloring book doesn’t matter, you can market it online. It doesn’t matter. There is no maintenance, there is no physical stock to care about and literally you can create cash for your sleep. And if it’s wild and you decide to release a physical release, don’t sweat–begin pitching onto publishers and showing them their download numbers.
