The human body is a miracle in the sense that none of the body parts can be developed scientifically with the same effectiveness as nature has gifted humans with them. This is why; the most advanced labs in the world can’t design or create even a strand of human hair not to mention other complex human organs. Such is the importance of health that when it comes to the healthy body the sayings like health is wealth or prevention is better than cure has never been a cliché. It is unfortunate that due to changing lifestyles which involve lesser physical activities and the inability of humans to cope successfully with stress has led to a host of different diseases. One of these diseases is heart diseases primarily of which are heart attacks as found by various studies conducted by a team of cardiologists headed by senior cardiologist Irfan Siddiqui having an experience of more than a decade.

There are some of the main causes and risk factors which lead to heart attacks:

Smoking and Consumption of Nicotine Substances

It has been found in studies that smokers are more prone to get heart attacks than a nonsmoker. As per the studies and researches conducted by cardiologists around the globe such as Irfan and others, smokers are 50% more likely to show the symptoms of heart attack whereas chain smokers may show these symptoms as high as 70% than non-smokers. Similarly, passive smoking I.e. the smoke breathed out by a smoker in the atmosphere is equally bad for heart health. As per the statistics, breathing second-hand smoke causes nearly 35000 untimely deaths from coronary heart disease per year in the U.S alone among non-smokers. Smoking harms the quality of the blood flowing through the human heart making blood unusually thick and blood vessels narrow.

Blockage of Coronary Arteries

The main cause of heart attacks is due to the blockage of coronary arteries. Cholesterol is the main culprit that causes the blockage of coronary arteries which further forms a plaque in the arteries. One of the common conditions that are mostly observed during a heart attack is the rupturing and spilling of cholesterol into the bloodstream by these plaques. At the site of rupture, there may be the formation of blood clotting. It may further lead to complications of the blockage of the flow of blood through the coronary artery resulting in the starvation of the heart of oxygen and different nutrients.

Lack of Physical Activity

With the changing times, humans have started been overly dependent on the use of machines. Such is the negative impact of inactivity that it has resulted in the unduly obesity among people of every age group and on top of it is the gradual acceptance of a sedentary lifestyle as a new way of life which is anything but healthy.

Family History of Heart Attacks

The chances of getting heart attacks are not just limited to one’s wrong health habits such as smoking, inactivity or the consumption of other nicotine substance but it also has something to do with your family history. Studies have shown that the people who have had siblings, parents or grandparents suffered or died from heart attacks are more likely to develop the complication of heart diseases than those who never have had these family histories.

Causes

Human organs are truly a miracle in the sense that even a strand of human hair cannot be made in the lab with the same effectiveness nature has gifted humans with them. All the different organs have a specific function to perform, hence without the well-functioning of one organ; the whole human body may collapse. One such important organ is the human heart which pumps blood throughout and supplies oxygen and nutrients to the tissues. As per the leading cardiologists around the globe such as Irfan Siddiqui and others, a sedentary lifestyle has only contributed adversely to the number of heart patients over the years than anything else. This is why over-dependence on machines has been discouraged by these professionals. The other risk factors that include heart diseases include smoking and consumption of nicotine substances, having a family history of heart attacks, and blockage of coronary arteries and plaque in the arteries.
